Just took another look at the software and it does what it says on the tin - it is for editing picture styles! I have an icon on my desktop for Picture style editor but have never used it.

If you are trying to open a jpg I don't think it will work, if you use the menu option file > open it only accepts raw & ago If you are trying to do picture styles in a JPG forum it wouldn't work since you've already added a picture style in camera. DPP (digital photo professional) is one of the best RAW editing programs I've ever used. I have even downloaded extra picture styles. The picture styles are an option while editing. I use DPP that also comes in the DVD for editing RAW photos.
What kind of files are you trying to add there? A RAW file?
for mac i use GIMP or Lightroom anymore :) I have never in 10 years gotten that program to work. So I still don't know who to get into it.
